Designers' Quarters has become one of my favorite quilt magazines. It has profiles of the fabric designers along with really great patterns designed for their current fabric lines. The great thing is the magazines come out when the fabrics are still in the store (sometimes even before they're available) .... and I find that many of the patterns are easily adaptable to other fabric lines....

This Creative Iron stuff is so easy to do you almost feel like you're cheating..... but the results are so wonderful - who cares!!! Just peel off the paper and fuse the black fabric to the background fabric (probably a batik or hand dye) of your choice. Then quilt and you're done.... see more

I've discovered Jeri Kelly - she designs really cute fusible applique wall quilts and table runners..... This book is a great value - you get patterns for 12 table runners - one for each month...... ColorScope These are HOT!!!! I finally got my order and I've already sold half of them.... Its like a kaleidoscope - point it at an assortment of fat quarters, and see how the colours will go together.... get close and move slowly across a potential stack 'n whack fabric to get an idea of how it will turn out.... or just look at things for fun - it turns out my cats are each unique pieces of art!..... This is a great gift for anyone who works with colours and I suspect it could be used to keep husbands and children amused too.....
